31st Annual Piedmont Classic Paso Fino Horse Show

The Piedmont PFHA is the third largest and considered one of the most successful regions of the Paso Fino Horse Association. The Piedmont Breeder’s Futurity proudly showcases the offspring of over 60 stallions, awarding to some of the most valuable breeding stock in our breed over $160,000 since its inception in 1992. Each year, the Piedmont Classic in Asheville, NC, continues to reign as one of the largest regional USEF/PFHA shows held in the USA, and justly called the mini-Nationals due to the high level of competition in all divisions.

The Carolina Mountain Ribfest 2013 will be celebrating our seventh year at the Fairgrounds July 12,13,14, 2013. The festival features World Class professional barbecue competition Chefs from all over the country. They will be serving mouth watering, award winning BBQ Ribs, Chicken, Brisket, and Pulled Pork with all the traditional side dishes. Vendors are required to submit an Application for Consideration of Space. Pictures of concession or booth must be submitted along with the application. Application is to be completed in full,  listing all items requested to be sold, promoted or given away.

Applications for space will be reviewed with consideration given to space available vs. space needed, product, and appearance. Not every applicant receives a contract.  Once selected, and a Contract For Space is written, a minimum deposit of $100.00 per space is due within 10 days of Contract issuance.  Balance is due July 15, 2013. Contracts issued after July 15 require payment in full with execution of contract.  After August 2, certified checks, money orders and cash are required for payment.

North Carolina is fortunate to have a varied and abundant source of local food.  This book reflects the diversity in Western North Carolina.  Some of the recipes were blue-ribbon winners and others were just too good to leave out.  There are even "Fair Family Favorites," which are receipes from our dedicated Mountain State Fair staff and volunteers.
